Ingredients

  • Strawberries (2 pints)
  • Sugar (4 tablespoons)
  • Grand Marnier (4 tablespoons)
  • Heavy cream (1 cup)
  • Sour cream (1/4 cup)
  • Powdered sugar (1/4 cup)

  1. In a medium bowl, mix hulled and quartered strawberries with 4 tablespoons of sugar and 4 tablespoons of Grand Marnier. Stir well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (up to 2 hours), stirring occasionally.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, pour 1 cup of cold heavy cream and add 1/4 cup of powdered sugar. Use an electric mixer to beat until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold in 1/4 cup of sour cream into the whipped cream until just combined.
  4. When ready to serve, stir the strawberries and divide them into 6 serving glasses or bowls. Optionally, drizzle some syrup over the strawberries and use it to soak a cake.
  5. Top the strawberries with the whipped cream and serve immediately or chill for up to 2 hours before enjoying.
