Ingredients
- Minced Beef (500 g)
- Minced Pork (250 g)
- Onion (1)
- Garlic (4 cloves)
- Chopped Parsley (3 tbsp)
- Paprika (1 tbsp)
- Baking Powder (3/4 tsp)
- Breadcrumbs (2 tbsp)
- Water (3 tbsp)
- Vegetable Stock Cube (1)
- Salt (1 tsp)
- Pepper (1 tsp)
Instructions
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine minced beef and minced pork. Finely chop the onion and grate the garlic, then add them to the bowl.
- Stir in the chopped parsley, paprika, baking powder, breadcrumbs, water, crumbled vegetable stock cube, salt, and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly using a hand mixer with dough hooks.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours.
- Once rested, take small portions of the mixture, about 50-55 g (1.7-1.9 oz or ¼ cup), and shape them into rolls. Aim for a thickness similar to your thumb and lengths of about 7-10 cm (3-4 inches). You should be able to make around 18 sausages.
- Preheat your grill pan or barbecue. Grill the cevapi for approximately 12-14 minutes, turning them frequently until they are browned and fully cooked. To check for doneness, cut one in half.
- Serve the cevapi hot. They can also be reheated in an oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 10 minutes or until warmed through. Adjust reheating time if necessary.
