Ingredients

  • Minced Beef (500 g)
  • Minced Pork (250 g)
  • Onion (1)
  • Garlic (4 cloves)
  • Chopped Parsley (3 tbsp)
  • Paprika (1 tbsp)
  • Baking Powder (3/4 tsp)
  • Breadcrumbs (2 tbsp)
  • Water (3 tbsp)
  • Vegetable Stock Cube (1)
  • Salt (1 tsp)
  • Pepper (1 tsp)

Instructions

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine minced beef and minced pork. Finely chop the onion and grate the garlic, then add them to the bowl.
  2. Stir in the chopped parsley, paprika, baking powder, breadcrumbs, water, crumbled vegetable stock cube, salt, and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly using a hand mixer with dough hooks.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours.
  4. Once rested, take small portions of the mixture, about 50-55 g (1.7-1.9 oz or ¼ cup), and shape them into rolls. Aim for a thickness similar to your thumb and lengths of about 7-10 cm (3-4 inches). You should be able to make around 18 sausages.
  5. Preheat your grill pan or barbecue. Grill the cevapi for approximately 12-14 minutes, turning them frequently until they are browned and fully cooked. To check for doneness, cut one in half.
  6. Serve the cevapi hot. They can also be reheated in an oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 10 minutes or until warmed through. Adjust reheating time if necessary.
