  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar and butter. Mix with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add eggs one by one, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.
  4. Mix in vanilla extract and salt. Gradually add plain flour, followed by milk, to create a smooth batter.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pie dish.
  6. Bake for 35 minutes. After this, cover the pie's edge with aluminum foil to prevent burning, and return it to the oven.
  7. Continue baking until the center is set and the top has a crusty layer, about 15 additional minutes.
  8. Allow the pie to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
