Instructions

Steps

  1. Marinate the beef: In a bowl, combine beef, salt, sesame seed oil, white pepper, egg white, cornstarch, and oil. Mix well and let it sit for a while.
  2. Stir-fry the beef: Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and cook the marinated beef until it turns golden brown. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  3. Cook the aromatics: In the same wok, add 1 tablespoon of oil, then add minced ginger and minced garlic. Stir-fry for a few seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add vegetables: Toss in onion, carrots, green pepper, celery, and mushrooms. Pour in cooking wine and 1 cup of water.
  5. Prepare the sauce: Mix in oyster sauce, hot sauce, and sugar to the vegetable mixture. Stir well.
  6. Combine beef and thicken sauce: Return the cooked beef to the wok along with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. To thicken the sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water in a bowl, then slowly add it to the stir-fry until the sauce reaches your desired thickness.
